Writing Help (and editing)
You need help writing a book, speech, article, obituary, letter, or blog post.
OR you’d like to improve your writing and you’re looking for real-time instruction.
I’m the writing instructor/book coach/freelancer for you!
Simple Process where you have the control: We will meet for a brainstorming session ($50 for the hour) to determine exactly what you need and how we can best work together.
Included in the package we can build for you may be:
- Writing instruction
- Freelance (Lori writes your project)
- Book coaching (providing coaching support and/or writing coaching notes as you write a book)
- Collaboration (Lori provides some of the writing for your project).
- Developmental Editing, Comprehensive Editing or Proofreading (Lori does not currently provide line editing services)
This package includes
Zoom or in-person face-to-face sessions for brainstorming, specific instruction, and/or discussion of edits/coaching notes.
One or more of the following:
- Coaching notes: Coaching notes are not editing. They are specific teaching notes indicating areas for either improvement or informed author decision-making. Most clients find these notes highly valuable and a help in improving their writing.
- Writing instruction: Hands on instruction to improve your writing.
- Freelance: I can write whatever you need with input from YOU on messaging for your intended audience.
- Book Coaching: Consistent support, brainstorming, notes, and instruction from conception to publication.
- Editing:
- Developmental Edit includes two passes of the work and is big picture editing, looking at overall manuscript organization, flow, effectiveness and clarity of writing, and coaching notes. While big-picture punctuation grammar may be addressed, this isn’t a detailed edit for such.
- Comprehensive Edit includes two passes of the work with a focus on writing structure, grammar, and punctuation.
- Proofreading is simply a read through with notes about typos, errors, etc.
- I do not currently provide line edits.
